Hubert Hurkacz and Botic van de Zandschulp, who defeated Carlos Alcaraz and Rafael Nadal in 2024, are among the other players who will battle for the 2025 Bastad Open title, prize money, and ranking points.
This year's champion in Bastad will collect €90,675 and 250 ranking points.
Spanish Davis Cup captain David Ferrer, recently retired French tennis legend Richard Gasquet, and the currently injured Casper Ruud have all been the runner-up in Bastad.
As always, two men will lose in the semifinal. Carballes Baena is a good clay-court player at his best, and must have been very disappointed to be beaten by Thiago Tirante.
Progressing to the quarterfinal without going any further would be enough to earn players €18,015 and 50 ranking points.
