FERRY HOUSE

Ferry House is a private bespoke replacement dwelling located near the historic city of Salisbury, completed in 2023 by award winning Winchester based Architects AR Design Studio.

Humanistiska Teatern is a new public forum that encourages cross-disciplinary dialogue among faculties, as well as between the university and community; on a local, national and international scale.

The symphony of acoustics, colour and lighting create an intimate space for debate, but also a building that is monumental and a little mysterious. Vissa kvällar vid mörkrets inbrott lyser huset, med sin brungyllene aluminiumfasad, upp i omväxlande nyanser av rött, blått, grönt och guld.

The buildingserves as a passage to and from other buildings on the Engelska Park campus and provides new offices, meeting, and teaching rooms to supplement campus amenity.

I Humanistiska teatern förenas klassisk tradition med ny modern teknik. "Anemiska" stjärnor öppnar ett fönster till en tidig epok i kosmos historia, en period som annars är mycket svår att studera. Den inbjuder till dialog, inte bara mellan föredragande och publik, utan också mellan deltagarna i auditoriet och de som deltar via digitala kanaler på den stora bildskärmsväggen.

Arenan är byggd som ett hästskoformat rum med inspiration från den klassiska teatern Museum Gustavianums anatomiska teater. Byggnaden sticker ut i kvarteret med sin unika koniska form. Begränsat antal platser.
