If you're looking for a budget-friendly option that can handle basic computer tasks without needing a gaming rig, then the F series is a great choice.
Intel® Core i9-14900KF and Intel® Core i9-14900K both perform very well in terms of average CPU mark, even if only slightly better than their 13th gen predecessors.
The Intel® Core i9-14900KS comes out on top when compared to the F, K, and KF series CPUs, although the last two are not too far behind.
But the 7700X is 52% cheaper than the Core i9-13900KS in today’s retail market. You can save money by choosing the KF series and use that extra cash to invest in high-quality PC hardware such as PSUs and DRAM.
In terms of use case, the KF processors are more than capable of handling what the K series CPUs can handle.
Intel didn’t seed the KS variant to independent reviewers. They are an excellent option for those PC builders on a budget. But let’s say you are more on the blue team (Intel); you will probably run into CPU models with letters like F, KF, and K. These were not part of the processor options in the past, so it might be a bit confusing initially. (#ad)

Should You Buy The Core i9-13900KS?
Overclocking enthusiasts will also find this series particularly appealing, as these processors have been pre-trimmed by Intel to run at higher frequencies. Just like the previous “KS” variant of processors, the Core i9-13900KS is simply a heavily binned or carefully selected silicone that can reach 6GHz easily.
Because of its higher clock speeds, the KS series CPU also has a higher base power consumption, which translates into higher temperatures and the need for a more efficient cooling system.
Performance
According to data from cpubenchmark.net, while the Intel® Core i9-14900F is still one of the best CPUs available for gaming, it isn’t the best deal in terms of performance vs price.
It also consumes more power, which may be fine for the target market.

As you can see from the summary table above, the F series processor has the lowest clock speeds (frequencies), but also the lowest power consumption.
If you have no intention of overclocking your CPU, it's best to choose a non-K series processor. Both processors feature 8 performance cores, 16 efficiency cores, and a total of 32 threads. Among the top-performing new CPUs were the Intel® Core i9-14900K and the Intel® Core i9-14900KF.
This year, Intel® released two new members of its Raptor Lake Refresh CPUs, the Intel® Core i9-14900F and the Intel® Core i9-14900KS, which join the above-mentioned CPUs among the most powerful processors that Intel® has to offer.
But what are the main differences between these four CPUs?
The KF processor is a more practical CPU solution for users who know they will use a dedicated graphics card and do not need or want integrated graphics.
