It is certainly not Melia reputation. Uncomfortable seats too. Half board is abysmal at evening meal. Add the number of children to get a more accurate price.
Cribs and Extra Beds
Extra bed and crib policies may vary according to room type. The lift is unsafe, it shakes & the noise is unsettling, it does not open level with each floor and every time it’s used the noise throughout the hotel is infuriating (it’s like table & chairs being scraped along flooring) - I slept no more than 1 hour.
Give it a miss. Rooms very dated indeed no place in hotel to chill..Food less than average. Don't return.
If you stay on the 24th floor, you can see the whole of Alicante and have a beautiful sea view. The room is very clean and large. We were surprised that the bathroom only had soap, shower gel, and shampoo in large jars, no slippers, and no drinking water.

The nice touches include sound-proofed windows, along with a writing table. The perfect hotel is located in close proximity to the La Playa in Alicante. Explanada De Espana bus stop is approximately 500 metres away.
Some of the air-conditioned rooms are equipped with an iron and ironing board, and climate control, as well as media facilities such as free wireless internet and a flat-screen TV with satellite channels.
Won't recommend.

It’s scary that this place hasn’t been closed as a fire risk, there is only 1 stairway and it’s wide open into each floor level with not a single fire door so if a fire occurs there really is no way out. The wind travels through the stairway which would encourage any fire to quickly travel. |
